In a simple and uncomplicated way, Idris Tawfiq's most popular book, Gardens of Delight: a simple introduction to Islam, explains the main features of Islam and what it means to be Muslim.

Using the five pillars of Islam as a framework, it relates the beliefs of Islam to everyday life. Muslims believe that Islam has existed since the beginning of Time and that Islam is the natural religion of mankind.

In an age when so many distractions clamour for our attention, the book tries to show how Muslims believe that Islam answer's man's basic need for happiness and fulfillment in life.

One Western diplomat remarked to Idris that "everyone is telling us at the present time what Islam is not. They say Islam is not aggressive, it is not violent and it is not extreme. But for the first time, you are telling us in this book what Islam is, describing it as both beautiful and sweet."

Appealing to both Muslim and non-Muslim, Gardens of Delight: a simple introduction to Islam presents Islam in a very straightforward and simple way, using people and places to make the narrative come alive.

From Kuala Lumpur to Cairo and from London to Toronto, Gardens of Delight: a simple introduction to Islam is being used by individuals and by Muslim organizations to teach people about the real Islam.

Gardens of Delight: a simple introduction to Islam can be obtained from the publisher:

From nearly 4 years I gained a copy and how simple words your talking about Egyptian Muslim when they tried hardly to collect money to pilgrimage. It is a message to Egyptian before you talk to non-Egyptian. How nice when you translate it to Arabic. Sorry, Mr. Idris, I am Arabian Muslim and I feel jelous when I see that the Arabian inherit this valuable message and not feel how precious this message is?
