Visiting the Gaza wounded, January 2009

Muslims read in the Holy Qur'an:

"To those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, after suffering oppression, We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world; but truly the reward of the hereafter will be greater. If only they realized."        16:41

After the slaughter and the carnage of the invasion of Gaza, Idris Tawfiq went to visit some of the sick and the wounded Palestinians in Cairo's Al-Nasr (Victory) Hospital.

Idris says, "the courage and the heroism I met from these Muslim men and boys was very humbling and it made me so proud to be Muslim. Throughout the visit, I heard the name of Allah called upon time and time again in thanks and in praise. How as Muslims can we sit idly by and not tell the whole world about this outrage while our brothers and sisters suffer in this way?"
